New Delhi, 25 September 2025:The 12th edition of the prestigious Kalam Ke Sipahi Awards, organized by the Newspaper Association of India (NAI) under the stewardship of General Secretary Dr. Vipin Gaur, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Constitution Club of India in New Delhi. The event brought together distinguished personalities, eminent journalists, and notable figures from the world of media and academia.

Chief Guest Trivendra Singh Rawat, Member of Parliament and Former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, graced the ceremony alongside Guest of Honour Tirath Singh Rawat, Former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and Former MP, and H.E. Dr. Abdenor Khelifi, Ambassador of Algeria.

Addressing the gathering, Trivendra Singh Rawat emphasized the high standards of Indian journalism, noting, “Both politicians and actors rely on the media, which plays a pivotal role in everything from government formation to governance.” He warned against the dangers of misinformation from some quarters and underlined that India stands unique as a nation where the public still places immense trust in journalism. He called upon the youth to ensure diligent fact-checking before publishing news.

Guest of Honour Tirath Singh Rawat highlighted the transformative influence of digital media, stating that technology has made news dissemination instantaneous while also introducing new risks. He urged aspiring journalists to harness their intellectual capacity, cautioning against overdependence on mobile phones, and reminded them that opportunities in life must be seized.

Dr. Vipin Gaur, expressing pride in the association’s 33rd Foundation Day, remarked on NAI’s resolve to direct journalism towards ethical standards and to create meaningful opportunities for media students. “Media is the mirror of society. It is this mirror that sparks real change,” he affirmed while congratulating the award winners.

This year’s Kalam Ke Sipahi Awards recognized outstanding achievements across journalism, media, literature, education, and social service. Among the eminent awardees were:
