Piyush Goel was born on 10th February 1967 to mother Ravi Kanta Goel and father Dr. Devendra Kumar Goel. By profession, he holds a diploma in Mechanical Engineering, a diploma in Material Management, and a diploma in Vastu Shastra. However, his passion is writing in a mirror image style.
In the year 2000, he met with an accident. During his recovery, he continued reading the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita and thought of doing something different and unique. He was inspired by the lines of Maithili Sharan Gupt and decided to write words in reverse, i.e., in mirror image style.
The lines that inspired him were:
“Nara ho, na niraash karo man ko, Kuch kaam karo, kuch kaam karo, Jag mein rah kar kuch naam karo.”
Piyush Goel began writing words in reverse, creating a tune of his own. In this process, he wrote the entire Shrimad Bhagavad Gita in mirror image (reversing the words). When you look at this language for the first time, you might be confused and wonder in which language this book is written. However, once you stand in front of a mirror, the book will start speaking to you automatically, with all the characters appearing correctly.
Piyush Goel is the author of the world’s first mirror image book of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. He has written all 18 chapters and 700 verses in both Hindi and English. This practice became so profound that he went on to write several other books in the same unique form. For these books, you would need a mirror to read them, as the reversed letters appear correctly when viewed in the mirror.
With his dedication and hard work, Piyush Goel has written 18 books in different forms. As it is rightly said:
“Hard work will result in delay, Just keep believing in yourself and one day, You will reach the destination as well.”

Piyush Goel has truly done wonders. Anyone who has seen his work will never forget it. Later, he wrote Madhushala by Harivansh Rai Bachchan using a needle. When asked why he thought of writing a book with a needle, he replied:
“I was often asked why a glass is needed to read your books. After thinking about it a lot, I thought, why not write something that doesn’t require a mirror to read?”
It took him about two to two and a half months to write the world-famous book Madhushala with a needle. This book is also written in a mirror image style, and it doesn’t require a mirror to read. The pages are folded in such a way that, even without a mirror, the book can be read easily. Piyush Goel claims that this Madhushala written with a needle and in mirror image style is the first such book in the world — truly one of its kind.
Piyush Goel also wrote Geetanjali by Rabindranath Tagore, a Nobel laureate in 1913, using a mehndi (henna) cone. He has also written Shri Durga Saptashati, Sundarkand in Awadhi, Aarti Collection, and Shri Sai Satcharitra in both Hindi and English. He also wrote Ramcharitmanas (including Doha, Sorath, and Chaupai).
Later, Piyush Goel wrote his own book Piyush Vani on an aluminum sheet of A-4 size using an iron nail to hammer it. When asked about using a nail, he said, “I had previously written the world-famous Madhushala with a needle, so I thought of trying something different using an iron nail this time.”
After extensive study, Piyush Goel wrote the entire Panchatantra (Five Tantras and 41 stories) by Vishnu Sharma with the help of carbon paper. He wrote the carbon paper upside down so that the words on one side would appear directly, and the mirror image would appear on the other side of the page.
Piyush Goel is also a collector and has collections of First Day Covers, a Pen Collection (over 3000 pens), and Autographs from world-famous personalities. In addition, he has written Shri Durga Saptashati in Sanskrit, Sundarkand in Awadhi, and Shri Sai Charitra in both Hindi and English.
Piyush Goel is a true example of courage and passion. From where he started, it must have been very difficult for him. An accident changed his entire life, but he transformed his life with passion and courage.
Piyush Goel has become a source of inspiration and encouragement for today’s generation. His hard work teaches valuable lessons for the new generation.
